Henna Night and Engagement Selection

At a henna night and engagement ceremony in a mansion garden in Beşiktaş we worked with a single photographer. Traditional dress, henna trays and portraits of family elders were the main elements of the shoot

Brief

The couple wanted the details of the tradition and the families' emotional moments documented in detail. A post-engagement couple portrait session was also part of the package.

Shoot and production

• One photographer, five hours
• 320 retouched frames
• Digital photo book
• Seven working days

Result

320 frames were delivered the following week, with the colour palette arranged in warm earth tones. Instead of an album, a digital photo book was prepared and sent as a PDF to the family elders.

Client note

Throughout the project every step from brief to delivery was followed in the client panel; revision requests were completed in a single round and the files remain stored in the panel for 12 months. The lighting diagrams and colour references used in the shoot were archived for consistency in later shoots.
