Restaurant Menu: Food Photography

The new menu's 42 dishes were shot in the restaurant's kitchen with the chef present. An appetising look was aimed for using natural window light and reflectors

Brief

Visuals in different ratios were needed for both the printed menu and online-ordering platforms. The shooting order and preparation times were planned so the dishes would look fresh.

Result

126 frames for the 42 dishes and 6 concept visuals for the menu cover design were delivered. The restaurant used the images in its menu print and on ordering platforms.

Client note

Throughout the project every step from brief to delivery was followed in the client panel; revision requests were completed in a single round and the files remain stored in the panel for 12 months. The lighting diagrams and colour references used in the shoot were archived for consistency in later shoots.
